Editor-in-Chief honored by world’s largest scientific society

Contemporary OB/GYN Editor-in-Chief Dr Charles Lockwood has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), one of the most prestigious scientific societies in the world and the largest.

Election as an AAAS Fellow is an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers, which recognizes individual contributions to innovation, education, and scientific leadership. To be elected requires continuous membership in AAAS for at least 4 years and nomination by the steering group of the Association’s 24 sections, by any 3 Fellows who are current AAAS members, or by the AAAS chief executive officer. The AAAS Council votes on an aggregate list of nominees after each steering group has reviewed nominations for its respective section.
